Audio Desc' or Audio Description is a feature we offer for the visually impaired in some of our cinemas in Northern Ireland. This along with general sound track describes the setting and scenes within the film. You will require a headset which can be obtained at the box office. This does not affect the general viewing of the film. Audio Description films are listed with 'Audio Desc ' beside the show time. We do provide complimentary tickets to carers on the presentation of The Carers Association of Ireland (http://www.carersireland.com) membership card, also known as an 'FCI Card'. This card is accepted at all Omniplex Cinemas in the Republic of Ireland. We accept it when the carer is accompanying someone for whom they are caring and the person who requires care has bought a cinema ticket. For the full terms and conditions please see here: T&C. We also accept CEA cards in all of our cinemas throughout Northern Ireland subject to their standard Terms & Conditions.
Our 'Sensory Friendly' screenings are designed for guests with sensory disorders. During a 'Sensory Screening' the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and subtitles are played for the show. Each Omniplex Cinema nationwide will show a sensory friendly screening every Saturday and Sunday around 12pm (before the foyer gets too busy and noisy for the later shows) showing the most popular family-friendly movie at the time. We aim to change the movie every week unless there is significant demand for a second showing of a popular movie, or if there is a lack of family-friendly movies.
