CORK OMNIPLEX CINEMA TO SHOW ALL-IRELAND SENIOR HURLING FINAL “REPLAY” FOR FREE

28th September, 2013 - Dublin, Ireland: Omniplex, Ireland’s largest cinema chain, has today announced that it will show this weekend’s Cork vs Clare All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final “REPLAY”  for FREE on the big screen at the Cork Omniplex cinema in Mahon. The screening on Sunday (28th September) is the first of its kind for Omniplex and will give those GAA fans unable to get to Dublin to see Jimmy Barry Murphy’s young team take on Clare, the chance to watch the match in style.

Paul Anderson, Managing Director of Omniplex, said: “An all Munster All-Ireland Final involving Cork is a momentous occasion, so we thought for those that cannot make it to Croke Park what better way to watch it than on the big screen; and all for free. We’re hoping to make occasions like this a regular occurrence in Cork and intend to show more major sporting events on our new OmniplexMAXX giant screen when it is complete.”

On Sunday doors open at 2.30pm with the throw in set for 3.30pm at Croke Park in Dublin. All people need to do to secure a place at this free screening is to pick up their tickets prior to the match. There is a restriction of four tickets per person, issued on a first-come first-served basis. Tickets can be collected from the box office in the Cork Omniplex, Mahon, from 2pm until 8.30pm daily. GAA fans are advised to hurry as tickets are expected to be snapped up. Tickets will NOT be available online, either through the Omniplex.ie or GAA.ie websites.
